A big Saturday of mile racing around the land
The biggest is the G1 Railway Stakes where some Eastern staters currently lead the betting with online bookmakers. Roots ($3.50) was impressive last time in the Hot Danish. She could face Tuvalu ($4.50) off a series of strong WFA credentials in Melbourne.
Forgot You ($8) heads across after a win on Cup day while Alsephina ($6) might be best of the locals.
There is also the G2 WA Guineas (1600m) for the 3yos and if Keshi Boom ($3) backs up she will be hard to beat. The Karrakatta winner Super Smink ($3) is also right in the betting.
It is provincial racing hitting the city lights back East this weekend with rich races at both Kembla and Cranbourne.
The second of the provincial million dollar races sees The Gong over 1600m and it is Cup day at Cranbourne for $500,000.
Some horses coming off 2000m form will have a big say at Kembla with Osipenko ($3.50) and Wild Planet ($26). There are also those off winning ways like New Mandate ($15), Spangler ($11) and Loch Eagle ($101).
The Warra over the short course 1000m will see pace to burn with fast horses like Insurrection ($8), Hard To Say ($8), Dragonstone ($6) and Brudenell ($8).
Plenty of inform horses from the carnival are entered for the Listed Cranbourne Cup (1600m) on the club's big day.
Ain'Tnodeeldun ($5) chases four on the bounce but others with top Sydney form are also in the nominations like Detonator Jack ($15), Skyman ($26) and Wicklow ($26).
Back to the speedsters in the Apache Cat Classic (1000m) where the likes of Recommendation and Jigsaw will be fancied.
